CATS/Red Stick Project Bicentennial Art Contest

The Capital City Area Transit System (CATS) and The Red Stick Project announced the winners of the Red Stick Bicentennial Art contest. The contest was in collaboration with The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and the Division of Fine Arts of EBR Schools. The contest celebrated 200 years of Baton Rouge’s history and future in public transportation and embraced ALL types of transportation.  Winning designs were on display in advertising spaces at bus shelters, on buses and inside CATS buildings.  The artwork was also on display at LASM, Louisiana Arts and Science Museum in the Science room. The contest was open to all schools in Baton Rouge. Designs were created with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) principles in mind and included one or more public transportation modes. The winners were chosen by a panel from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
